The U.S. Treasury yield curve compressed yesterday, with the 10-year bond at 4.25%

US Treasury yields compressed across most maturities during trading yesterday. While the 1-year Treasury yield remained unchanged at 3.67%, the 3-year yield fell to 3.75% from the previous 3.79%. Meanwhile, the 10-year yield closed at 4.25%, down from 4.30% on Monday.

Meanwhile, the main US stock indices extended their upward trend yesterday. The Nasdaq stood out with a 2.0% gain, followed by the S&P 500 with a 1.2% increase, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average with a 0.7% increase. With these gains, the indices have accumulated year-to-date increases of 1.7%, 1.8%, and 1.0%, respectively.

With the first-quarter earnings season underway, Bank of America reported earnings per share (EPS) of $1.11 and revenue of $30.3 billion this morning, both exceeding analysts' consensus expectations. Morgan Stanley followed a similar trend, reporting EPS of $3.43 and revenue of $20.58 billion.
