The US president decided to extend the ceasefire with Iran announced two weeks ago. This afternoon was the announced end date for the ceasefire, but Donald Trump announced its extension, stating that Pakistani mediators requested the pause until Iran submits a proposed agreement.

Yesterday, yields widened across the entire US Treasury yield curve. The 1-year Treasury yield increased from 3.64% to 3.68%. The 3-year yield rose from 3.74% to 3.81%, and the 10-year yield increased to 4.31% from 4.25%.

Finally, major stock indices declined yesterday. The S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow Jones all fell, each declining by 0.6% during the day. Thus, so far this year, the indices have accumulated variations of +3.2%, +4.4% and +2.3%, respectively.
