The week ended positively for US stock indices, with the S&P 500 up 0.2% on Friday

In the United States, Friday closed with moderate gains across the major US stock indices. The S&P 500 rose 0.2%, while the Nasdaq advanced by the same amount, and the Dow Jones climbed 0.7%. Year-to-date, the indices have accumulated gains of 10.7%, 16.1%, and 6.2%, respectively.

Meanwhile, US Treasury yields saw little movement. The 1-year Treasury yield narrowed slightly, from 3.78% to 3.77%, while the 3-year yield fell from 4.07% to 4.05%. The 10-year yield also declined, dropping to 4.44% from the previous 4.45%.

This week, the focus will be primarily on the potential announcement of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran. Meanwhile, official employment figures for May will be released this Friday, with an estimated 90,000 jobs created during the period and an unemployment rate of 4.3%.
