Last Friday, US Treasury yields widened again, continuing their upward trend. The 1-year Treasury note closed at 3.81%, up from 3.79% on Thursday, while the 3-year note closed at 4.14%, also surpassing the previous 4.06%. The 10-year note, meanwhile, rose from 4.48% to 4.59%.
This week, the focus will be primarily on Nvidia's Q1 2026 earnings report, due this Wednesday after the market closes. The consensus among analysts projects the company will report earnings per share (EPS) of $1.75 and revenue of $78.82 billion. On the other hand, the minutes from the Fed's last monetary policy meeting will be released, along with preliminary data on the May sectoral Purchasing Managers' Indices (PMIs) for the United States and the Eurozone.
Finally, the main stock indices closed a negative day. The S&P 500 fell 1.2%, while the Nasdaq declined 1.5%. The Dow Jones also suffered a drop of 1.1%. Thus, year-to-date, the indices have accumulated gains of 8.2%, 12.8%, and 3.0%, respectively.
