Broad-based gains in U.S. stock indices during Friday's trading session, with the S&P 500 rising 0.6%

Major U.S. stock indices ended Friday's session with gains. The Dow Jones rose 0.8%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq both posted increases of 0.6%. Consequently, year-to-date gains stand at 7.5%, 14.1%, and 17.7%, respectively.

Meanwhile, U.S. Treasury yields saw slight increases across all maturities during the final trading session. The 1-year bond closed at 4.44% and the 3-year bond at 4.92%, while the 10-year bond stood at 5.24% (compared to previous closes of 4.41%, 4.88%, and 5.22%, respectively).

In the commodities market, prices showed mixed performance on Friday. WTI and Brent crude oil both fell 0.1%, closing at USD 91.4 and USD 104.2 per barrel, respectively, while gold rose 1.5% to reach USD 4,196.5 per ounce. Finally, soybean prices advanced 0.4%, closing at USD 474.8 per tonne.
