The 1-year bond yield rose to 4.51% from 4.45%, and the 3-year bond yield climbed to 5.01% from Friday's 4.94%, while the benchmark 10-year bond ended at 5.23%—up from 5.17%—reaching a new high not seen since 2007.

Meanwhile, major U.S. stock indices began the week with broad-based declines. The Nasdaq was the hardest hit, falling 0.9%, followed by the S&P 500 (-0.8%) and the Dow Jones (-0.7%). Nevertheless, year-to-date gains stand at 15.4%, 12.2%, and 7.1%, respectively.
